The DGS Summer Scholar program fills a significant gap in the educational landscape by equipping high school students with essential technology skills and addressing three critical issues:
- First, it provides access to technology education, as many high school students often lack coursework in technology.
- Second, it provides essential tech skills as data analytics and generative AI skills are increasingly vital for future career opportunities.
- Third, it builds a more inclusive and innovative community by fostering tech literacy among our youth.
What?
The DGS Summer Scholar program prepares students for a future where data analytics and AI play a significant role. It covers a variety of skills, including using data for storytelling, understanding generative AI applications, and how to use AI ethically and responsibly.
When?
The DGS Summer Scholar program last six weeks. Enrollment for 2025 programming begins June 1, 2025, and lasts until August 31, 2025. We will accept applications at any time during this period.
